While the red reinforcing feedback loops clearly show the virtuous and mostly vicious cycles the blue balancing feedback loop might be interpretated as the use of mild drugs (e.g. alcohol or cannabis) that decrease the felt sorrows long enough to regain good feelings from activities and to feel no need for further drug consumption.

short term drugs are fine ....

... however, long term they are increasingly bad
